Store Structures & Goals
Help Us Take Off (Eh?)
We are a newly formed business and we are striving to establish the best sustainable practices for inventory management, production lines, customer interactions, and shipping to our customers. If you notice any errors on the website or have any suggestions or comments on our procedures, we would be grateful to receive your thoughts at info.cheekydeesigns@gmail.com
We’re the “Little Guy”
We are currently a team of two (one full-time and one side-hustle) devoted workers who want to keep as much of the production done in-house as possible. This meant avoiding dropshipping and other hands-off ordering systems, and more active labour from us. Yay! While I edit, cut, weed, and press vinyl and images, I do not have the space or equipment to sew shirts or print out Direct To Film (DTF) images (maybe some day…). Instead, I’ve selected reputable companies that provide these items. I want to ensure we are getting the highest quality products with the best price and timing, so we welcome any recommendations or referrals to competing providers for these materials.
Setting the Pace
We want to provide as many unique options as possible for our customers. Due to the individualized and unpredictable nature of customization, some orders may require us to order in further material supplies before we can complete them on our end. While we work closely with our shirt suppliers and DTF printers, unexpected delays in shipping or production can occur. Ordering in bulk from either supplier also means a sizeable reduction in costs for materials and shipping (and reduces carbon footprint), so we aim to meet a certain number of items/requests before submitting our orders for materials. As we become more established, we will be able to offer more concrete estimates for timelines to completion. We thank you in advance for your patience.
When It Just Can’t Wait
If you have an urgent order, we can strive to accommodate your timeline for an additional fee: accounting for expedited shipment of materials, ordering in non-bulk amounts, and jumping the queue (we won’t tattle though).
Giving Back
While we must first stabilize ourselves and the business financially, we are very interested in then contributing to charities and community-builders. This may include donating items for prizes or auction, as well proceeds-sharing the sales of collaborative designs made for participating events or organizations.
So, Why the Chickadee?
That’s a bit of a long story. Check out Our Story to see what led to our company and name.
